Multiple award winning artist Mark Lawther works in oil pastels and ink, both colour and mono on canvas board. Mainly architecture rendered artistically. He has developed his own methods... an interesting strategy employed is the use of reverse perspective - he imagines how it would work and allows the concept to control the results. He also uses concave and convex perspective , creating some unusual images. A major aim is to record historical subjects - houses, buildings, streetscapes, outback objects etc rendered artistically, not architecturally. |
