The 'Women in Art' 2023 exhibition aims to highlight a collection of influential female artists based in Sydney through experiences as emerging or established contemporary artists. The exhibition will expand the prominence of female Australian artists to create exposure and appreciation for their diversity and innovation within practice. Join us alongside international award-winning artist Shazia Imran for this exhibition! Terms and conditions apply for participation. Selection committee will select the artworks for this show. There is no charge to apply or exhibit. Commission will be charged on sales during the show on selected entrees. |
Directed by international award-winning artist Shazia Imran, the newly established gallery opened its doors in late 2022 known prior as the Former Coroner's Court, a significant Sydney heritage site. The gallery aims to support local, national and international artists that are primarily Sydney based to extend Sydney art cultures and influences in a professionally curated space.
Shazia is an established gallery director and international artist that specialises in mixed media pieces. Most notably, her 'Mandala' Collection has won numerous prizes including the Florence and London Biennale, as well as being acquired as investment pieces throughout Hong Kong and Singapore.
