Madeleine Ekeblad
Incorporating art with dance and music, Australian artist Madeleine Ekeblad captures rhythm through her practice using painting and manuscript collage techniques. Her abstract artworks sings to audiences with free-form strokes of paint and mixed media, a reflection of the artist's persona as dynamic and exuberant with an exploration of the role of art in contemporary society. She has collectors from Australia, France, Vienna, China & Hong Kong that are intrigued by the unique arrangement of music, rhythm and movement within her works.
Also known as ‘Maddi I Paint Music’ within the art field, she is a 4th generation artist that grew up in an environment of Art, Music and Dance.
She was initially involved in the commercial art scene before taking up painting full time in 1996. She studied at the Brisbane Institute of Art and was on the management committee there for 5 years. She holds a History of Art diploma from the London Art College.
