Adeline Buenaventura
French-Filipina artist Adeline combines mixed media with sculpture to create vibrant, playful works inspired by the pop art millieu. Using fibreglass and marble powder, her sculptures are reinforced by resin to reflect subjects derived from nature through flora and Animalia inspired by her residence in France and her prior occupation as a florist.
In 2011, she worked collaboratively in Bangkok, Thailand under the PAJ Art Studio, creating an extensive collection of sculptures with the most notable one being a commissioned installation for the Fullerton Hotel Singapore in 2015, consisting of 40 Hippop'Art sculptures and a life-sized Whale Pop monument on the hotel grounds. Subsequently, Adeline began her independent studio in 2016, Buenaventura Art Gallery in Bangkok where she currently produces and showcases her works.
Adeline has showcased in varied international solo and group exhibitions, including Asia Contemporary Hong Kong, Affordable Art Fair Singapore and Hong Kong, World Art Dubai, Art Plus Shanghai and others. Her most recent achievement included the selection and showcase of her Jungle Pop Collection in 2019 at the 7th Ras Al Khaimah Fine Art Festival in the United Arab Emirates, winning 1st prize in the sculpture category. The sculpture was exhibited at the National Museum of Ras Al Khaimah in February 2019.
