Engaging with primarily weaving methods inspired by her family background in knitting and BFA in sculpture, Latimer’s abstract structures are a literal exploration of lineage through threading. Having lived and worked in various locations globally, she uses ideas of deconstruction, rearrangement and construction found in her transformative experiences.
