About AAD Gallery
Australian Art & Design (AAD) Gallery is situated in the iconic, historic precinct of The Rocks in Sydney, Australia. Nestled among charming heritage buildings and cobblestone laneways, the gallery sits right in the cultural heart of the City—just a stone’s throw from the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Sydney Opera House. Surrounded by lively markets, boutique shops, vibrant cafés, and a steady flow of locals, the area is also one of Sydney’s most visited destinations for international tourists. This prime location offers artists exceptional exposure, as visitors from around the world regularly explore The Rocks to experience its culture, history, and creative spirit.
AAD Gallery promotes an extensive collection of original, multidisciplinary contemporary art practices, notably local Australian artists in international scenes. The gallery, established in 2015 by international award-winning artist and director Shazia Imran, focuses on supporting local emerging and established artists through regular representation in exhibitions and art fairs within and outside of Australia.

Solo Shows
AAD Gallery is currently seeking proposals for our 2026 exhibition program.
We invite artists from all mediums and demographics (18+) to apply. Submissions will be carefully reviewed by the curatorial team.
What AAD Gallery will provide:
- Gallery 2 or 3 are available for guest artists to hire for a period of one or two weeks.
- The cost to exhibit at AAD Gallery is on a weekly basis( including installation and de-installation) with 30% commission to be charged on sales
- Exhibition fee:
Gallery 2 is $1890 (Excl GST) per week
Gallery 3 is $1590 (Excl GST) per week - Gallery staff will tend and host the gallery. Please let us know of any conditions regarding work in advance.
- The Gallery is open as per the official times 7 days a week
- We may include your invite and images in our Newsletter, our social media during the week of your exhibition
- It is our responsibility to keep the Gallery at a highly professional standard – you will receive guidelines pertaining to this.
- Your sales (minus gallery commission) will be deposited into your bank account within 30 days of your exhibition.
- 50% deposit is required on confirmation of your booking the Gallery. Balance of 50% is required 8 weeks prior to your exhibition.
- The Gallery supplies hooks, hanging system, credit card facilities, promotion and support.
Additional terms for Solo Exhibitions - It is up to you to create your invitation in hard copy (for our promotion at the gallery the week prior to your exhibition), your own social media and promotion through your contacts. You will be supplied with a logo and guidelines for this invite.
- You may open the Gallery after hours for Opening Drinks which is at your discretion

Floorplan
The AAD Gallery space offered for artists is the prime space of Gallery 2 or 3, located at the South side of the Shazia Imran Gallery. Works will be exhibited alongside other featured artists and Shazia Imran's works.
The Gallery 2 has direct access from George Street.
